This Privacy Policy explains how Dubio Pte. Ltd., the operator of SnapID (“we”, “us”, or “SnapID”), handles personal information when you use our website, web app or mobile apps. We collect and use information to provide the photo service, manage purchases and accounts, and keep the Service secure.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
We use the information to create and deliver photos; provide access to saved results; manage accounts, payments, credits and receipts; send verification codes and service emails; respond to support requests; prevent misuse; and maintain or improve the Service. Optional promotional messages, if offered, are subject to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.
To create document photos, SnapID may detect a face and assess position, framing, lighting and background. This is photo-formatting processing, not a promise of identity verification or government approval. Where your device supports biometric unlock, the device operating system manages that authentication; we do not need your fingerprint or device face-unlock template.
We do not sell your photographs or facial information to advertisers. Where technical providers process photos for us, they do so to help deliver or secure the Service, subject to appropriate contractual and security arrangements.
You can request deletion in the app (Profile → Security Settings → Delete Account, if available on your version) or through the SnapID account deletion page. You can also contact hello@snapid.app. Deleting an account includes associated personal data, subject to the limited retention exceptions described above.
We use service providers only as needed to operate SnapID. Depending on how you use it, these may include AWS (hosting and storage), Resend (transactional email), Google/Firebase and Apple (sign-in or app services), and Stripe, Google Play and Apple (payments). Technical photo-processing and diagnostic providers may also process information on our behalf where enabled.
Information may be processed outside Singapore. Where required, we take steps to ensure overseas transfers receive protection consistent with applicable data-protection laws. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud and protect the Service.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal data, withdraw consent where relevant, or ask us to delete your account and data. Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide certain features. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Please contact hello@snapid.app.
If you choose to upload a child’s photograph, you must have parental responsibility or other legal authority to do so. SnapID is not intended for children under 13 to register independently.
We use technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we process, such as encrypted connections and restricted access. No online service is entirely risk-free. If a personal-data incident occurs, we will take steps and provide notifications where required by law.
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The current version is published at https://snapid.app/privacy-policy/ with its last-updated date. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.
For privacy questions, data requests or complaints, contact our privacy/data-protection contact at hello@snapid.app.
