Introduction & Scope

SnapID (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered identification photograph generation service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights as a user.

By using SnapID, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

Information We Collect

  • Account Data: Your email address and display name, collected when you register or sign in, used solely for account management and communication.
  • Image Data: Photos you upload or capture within the app. These are processed exclusively to generate your ID photo and are not used for any other purpose.
  • Usage Data: Anonymized technical information (e.g., app version, device type, crash logs) used to improve service reliability.
  • Payment Data: Transaction identifiers processed by our payment providers. We do not store payment card details on our servers.

    On web platforms, local browser processing (e.g., HEIC to JPEG conversion) occurs entirely on your device and no raw image data is transmitted during this step.

AI Processing & Biometric Information

Our AI models analyze facial geometry — including alignment, cropping, and background removal — to produce ID photographs that conform to official document standards.

This processing is performed in real-time. We do not:

  • Build persistent biometric profiles from your images.
  • Use facial data for identity verification or tracking.
  • Sell, license, or share biometric data with third parties.
Facial feature data derived during processing is transient and discarded as soon as your result is generated.

Data Retention

  • Processing Images: Automatically and permanently deleted from our servers immediately after your final ID photo is delivered to you.
  • Generated Output: Stored in your account for retrieval. You may delete these at any time from within the app.
  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data is purged within 30 days.
  • Anonymized Analytics: May be retained indefinitely in aggregated form with no link to your identity.

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

  • Google Play Billing & Stripe: Secure payment processing. We receive only tokenized transaction confirmations.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Encrypted server environments used for AI processing, subject to industry-standard security controls.

We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.

Security

We implement encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of SnapID after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
